Don't Hurt Me

I collect photographs that inspire me. Photographs that jump at me from the page or screen. So I now have a big shopper next to my drawingtable filled with inspiration. Usually I am pretty good at writing down where the pictures are from, but with this image I cannot remember exactely. It says November 2010 on the page and I think it is from Marie Claire Magazine. Please correct me if I am wrong.

This image shows a model in a Neopreen parka by Givenchy. The parka is black in real life but I made it red. Like little red riding hood. I love the strong face on this model. Hope you like it.

Oranje Boven

On the 30th April we celebrate Koninginnedag in The Netherlands.
Queen's Day celebrates the birthday of the Queen of the Netherlands.
During the celebrations as reference to the colours of the House of Orange-Nassau, people dress in the colour orange, which is sometimes called "orange craze" (Dutch: oranjegekte).

Anyway I decided to do a fashion illustration featuring an orange dress and the first one I thought of was Galliano's design for Christion Dior Spring/Summer 2011. 

A beautiful bright orange summerdress with little shiny diamantes sewn on it. 

Love the hairstyle at this show as well. I just adore fringes/bangs (wherever you are from, over here we call the ponys, isn't that weird?)
